CrozNest founder Jason recently sat down with Antony Whitaker, on an episode of the Grow My Salon Business podcast. They talked about all things CrozNest and explored topics such as:
- where he started in the hairdressing industry
- how that led to CrozNest
- The benefits of using curated content in your salons socials
- The relevance of understanding trends as well as a deeper dive into the ever evolving role of social media in your business.
We’ve pulled together 3 of our favourite questions Antony Whittaker from the podcast asked, starting with what CrozNest is, and how Jason responded:
ANTONY: OK, SO TELL ME ABOUT CROZNEST – WHAT EXACTLY IS IT?
JASON: It’s a digital agency – We are 11 years old.
At first it was about delivering trend led education at the height of fashion straight from fashion weeks;
Who’s creating that hair, why are they doing that hair? How does it relate to the clothes? It was about telling the story, not just delivering the techniques.
I then sourced that information and material to deliver it back to these hairdressers and give them inspiration. It was important for me for hairdressers to understand it so they can sell their services and give them a USP.
CrozNest originally was about bridging the gap between hair and fashion. Originally It was about more hands on training. We used to go into salons, showing techniques hands on. Then the rise of the digital era meant we had to find ways to deliver our content in different ways – through instagram and digital trend reports.
In this day and age, CrozNest is a digital agency where we provide digital marketing services as well as our niche – curated content. We make social media easier and more accessible for the masses.
ANTONY: TALK TO US ABOUT YOUR ‘CURATED CONTENT PACKAGES’ – HOW DO THEY WORK?
JASON: They were invented because we found that especially after the pandemic, theres a need for everyone to have a digital presence. There’s a reliance on instagram but the way it is always changing can cause stress for people to stay on top of. It can also cost a lot of money for people to maintain so they step away from it.
We found a middle ground – a way for people to still achieve the output but a step down from a whole social media management. We came up with these packages, that are ‘off the shelf’/‘one size fits all’ – our curated content packages.
After finding a collection of images, we edit them to enhance them, make them look eye catching, commercial, relevant and keep up with current social media trends and themes. They are then fully curated with captions that are relevant to the image and relevant and talk specifically to the audience/client.
It’s ultimately a collection of images, that have captions that drive business with engaging phrases and call to actions. It saves you time and stress but build your business.
ANTONY: DO YOU THINK THE SALONS THAT USE THESE PACKS SHOULD INTERSPERSE THEM AMONGST THEIR OWN WORK?
JASON: Yeah – so it’s an affordable option for you to elevate your social media. It’s not about replacing your content, it’s about helping you bring a new dimension to your social media. It’s still important to showcase your work, but to optimise your digital presence with different levels of communication, different things to talk about.
Our content packs solve that solution. They enable you to intersperse our images amongst your own, that help you drive traffic.
